User Roles
User Roles on Lycan control what you can see and what actions you can perform on Lycan. Depending on your installation of Lycan and who you are, you will have a different user role, which controls what you have access to.
Types of Roles:
- Lycan Admin
- Application Owner
- Application User
- Agency
Explaination of each role
Lycan Admin
This is the highest access level possible. As a Lycan Admin, you will have your own installation of Lycan. With this access role, you can switch between applications, view all data across all applications and create a new application as you require.
Example User: Software Vendor/PMS who have their own enterprise/hosted version of Lycan
Application Owner
An application admin is a role who would typically be regarded as the owner of an application. Applications can have many users who share this role and acting as an application owner gives you the ability to edit all users on your application, create new users as you require and access all of your applications data.
Example: Software Vendor/PMS/Marketplaces/Metasites/SaaS Products
Application User
An application user is someone who would typically create data on Lycan, for example, if an agency/manager using your product wants to supply data to Lycan and create their own channel, or property collection to invite other members, they would exist as an application user. Application unser’s have read and write access to most parts of Lycan
Example: Agency with inventory/User of your SaaS product/User wanting distribution
Agency
This is the lowest access role on Lycan. A Lycan agency has read only access and cannot edit any part of their data on Lycan, including properties and integrations. The purpose of this role is to allow an agency to view data, such as reservations, properties, but not edit those connections/objects.
